Magical Connecticut Christmas Hayride Gets You Right Into the Holiday Spirit
This is one of my favorite times of year. Everyone is happy, everything is decorated and there are so many different events where you can experience the holiday magic. I know its a big time of year for families to take their kids to see Santa, check out Christmas lights and involve themselves in whatever Christmas magic they can.
I came across something on my feed that I thought was so fun and I had to share. I have never heard of this before, but I wonder if it's a known thing around the state. If it's not, I'm doing my part in sharing with you.
Did you know there's a Christmas hayride in Connecticut? It's located at Fairview Tree Farm in Shelton. The hayride is called the Night of Lights where you get to explore the farm on a 30 minute hayride that features a bunch of different lights and holiday scenes. Check out a sneak peak for yourself.
After the hayride, there is a bonfire you're able to sit around as well as donuts and hot cocoa that are offered. They also have Santa's village that you're able to go to where you are able to meet Santa himself.
The Night of Lights is open Friday through Sunday throughout the month of December. Tickets are required and can be purchased at their website here. It looks like tickets cost about $25 per person. There are still many other things you are able to do during the days there as well.
It seems like the perfect place to bring the family. I've never heard of this hayride before, and maybe I'm living under a rock, but I loved the idea and it looks like so much fun. Have you ever been before? How is it? I would love it know.
