Which Local Connecticut Schools Got the Highest Marks in 2017’s Top 100 List?
The most recent list of the Top 100 School Districts in Connecticut is out, and some local schools have placed fairly high in the 2017 rankings.
The annual list is compiled by niche.com, and this year, both Wilton (#8) and Ridgefield (#10) were the two local schools that placed the highest on the list, with Newtown (#14) just missing the Top 10.
Other local schools that placed in the Top 30 were Pomperaug (#23), Brookfield (#27) and Bethel (#28).
New Fairfield (#44) and New Milford (#58) placed in the middle of the pack, and Danbury (#85) placed the lowest of all the local area schools.
The list is compiled using data from the U.S. Department of Education, test scores, college data, and ratings collected from niche.com users. Also factored into the results are a cultural and diversity grade, health and safety grades, parent/student overall grade, and teacher's grade.
Westport was the top Connecticut school in this year's Top 100, and they also came in 12th in the National Top 100 Survey.
