One of the last true, all-around, old school-entertainer/singer/performers, is calling it quits on his concert career. He's just announced that he's giving his last concert performance ever after a 60 year career, and it's happening right here in Connecticut.

After 15 Top 40 hits, and co-hosting one of my favorite tv shows when I was a kid, Tony Orlando and Mohegan Sun have announced that Orlando's 65th overall performance (Over the last 23 years) at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 22, 2024, will be his final concert appearance ever.

Everybody, sing it with me -

I was lucky enough to see one of Orlando's 64 previous performances, it was in the Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theater, and we had a table right in front of the stage. Seeing a performer of his caliber up close and personal was a sight, and sound to behold. At our particular show, Orlando came out and commanded the stage, he was running at a quicker pace than his musicians, and I could hear him demanding them to keep up with his energy. Shortly after we saw him, Orlando was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame in 2010.

Orlando's music, movie appearances and tv shows have been entertaining me my whole life, my wife and I especially enjoyed his role in Adam Sandler's 'That's My Boy'.

Tickets for Tony Orlando's final concert performance at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 22, 2024 go on sale to the general public at 10AM this Friday, January 12 through ticketmaster.com. No prices have been posted for the tickets.
