‘American Idol’ Runner-Up Lauren Alaina Will Take a ‘Road Less Traveled’ in First Film

From American Idol to a recording contract to the silver screen (are they still silver?) Lauren Alaina's career has certainly skyrocketed. She recently told Billboard:

I am so excited to be doing a movie. This is a whole new world for me. I'm learning so much every day. We have such an awesome cast and crew and I can't wait for everyone to see this new side of me.

The movie is called Road Less Traveled, which is also the name of her latest single. She is currently filming in Knoxville,Tennessee and co-stars Charlene Tilton who you may remember from the hit television series Dallas.
