Kane Brown to Receive Breakthrough Artist Award at Music Biz 2019
Kane Brown's career is on fire, and the "Lose It" singer is getting another trophy to add to his collection later this year. The singer is set to receive the Breakthrough Artist Award at the upcoming Music Biz 2019 Conference's Awards & Hall of Fame Dinner on May 7 at the JW Marriott Nashville.
The Music Business Association will recognize Brown for his emerging talent and for making "a particularly significant impact on the music scene in the past year." Brown will be honored alongside fellow 2019 Breakthrough Artist Bebe Rexha. Brown and Rexha join a diverse list of past winners including Julia Michaels, Ariana Grande, Sam Hunt, Meghan Trainor, Halsey, Maren Morris, Lukas Graham, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Carrie Underwood and the Killers, among others.

"With a sound uniquely his own, Kane Brown blends traditional southern musicianship with youthful, contemporary lyrics that distinguish him as a driving force in the revitalization of country music," explains Music Biz President James Donio in a statement. "Kane has already achieved so much at the age of 25, and with his Kane Brown: Live Forever Tour kicking off in the new year, there's no sign of him stopping any time soon."
In addition to his own headlining tour, Brown will join Jason Aldean's Ride All Night Tour as direct support later this year. He continues to break chart records as well. With the 2018 release of his sophomore album, Experiment, Brown became the first male country artist in over 24 years to debut at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, he was only one of three country artists to top the Billboard 200 chart in 2018.
