Like a lot of you, we binged all 8 episodes of the wonderfully-dark Netflix show Wednesday on Thanksgiving. Mrs. Large and I immediately fell in love with Jenna Ortega, the actress who plays Wednesday Addams. I found out something that makes me love her even more - she 'can't live' without a product that's made right here in Danbury.

After thoroughly enjoying Ortega's performance, we Googled her, and I found an article that Ortega did with The Strategist called "What Actress Jenna Ortega Can't Live Without". In it, Ortega lists a few of her favorite things. One of the items that Ortega can't live without is Himalayan Gold Popcorn from Danbury's Lesser Evil. Respect Jenna, me too.

In the article, Ortega explains that she was actually clued into Lesser Evil's delicious popcorn by her Scream 5 co-stars Dylan Minnette and Mason Gooding, who were preaching what all of us know already here - Lesser Evil popcorn is superior. Minnette and Gooding actually left Ortega a bag of Lesser Evil's Himalayan Gold popcorn, which she tried, and says "It changed my whole world. It feels so light and refreshing. I mean, popcorn is popcorn. It's going to taste good no matter what, but if I'm going to be picky, and if I buy popcorn for myself, this is the brand I go to."

Good for you Lesser Evil, and damn it's true. We appreciate your support so much over the years during our Camping for Cans/Hillside Food Outreach event. It's so great that your hard work and beautiful products are in that national spotlight.

I Never Had a Bad Fish Fry at These Restaurants In Connecticut

I'm a sucker for fish and chips, if it's on someone's menu, I order it. it's been one of my favorites since the glory days of Arthur Treacher's. Around Connecticut, some are bad or inconsistent, but these three restaurants are superior.
