Each month the Wolf along with Mid Hudson Pump and MHA of Dutchess County select one of our area first responders to be inducted into the Wolf Den of Heroes.

For over a year now we have asked you to nominate a first responder you know. If you have yet to nominate someone be sure to do it after you read more about our June 2024 Wolf Den of Heroes Inductee.

Our June Wolf Den Inductee is Ashley Dayfield.  Ashley works as an EMT for the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was nominated by a Friend and former co-worker Rachel Scwartz who shared this about Ashley.

She's very passionate about what she does. Hard-working EMT who cares for her patients and shows them compassion no matter their backgrounds. She throws her heart and soul into her career and gives it her all.

Ashley has been serving her community for almost 20 years. She started in 2007 as a volunteer firefighter and over the years moved on to getting certified to be an EMT.

The Wolf Den of Heroes Celebrates First Responders in Our Community

For the last several years here at The Wolf, we've been trying to figure out a way to put a spotlight on the First Responders in our community. They do so much for us and leave their families at a moment's notice to help out our neighbors in need.

We decided the least we could do is give them the spotlight on Wakin' Up With CJ and Jess and social media as a 'thank you' for all they do. Then, our partners at Mental Health America Dutchess County and Mid Hudson Pump jumped on board with their support and because of them each month the First Responder Wolf Den Inductee receives a gift of $250.

Massive Fire Destroys Piece of History in Upstate New York

Ashes are all that's left of a piece of history in Tupper Lake. The former Wheel Inn, one of the area's first hotels, burned to the ground. Jim Cookie Lanthier was on the scene and took stunning photos of the fire. See more on his Facebook page.
