Body Found Inside Van in Hyde Park, New York

According to a press release from the New York State Police Troop K, a deceased man's body was discovered Monday in a van outside of a New Horizons Resources Inc. residential facility in Dutchess County.

Police said that at approximately 2 p.m. on August 4th, state police from the Rhinebeck barracks were called to the residential facility, located at 201 Cream Street, Hyde Park, NY, after it was reported that a body was discovered inside a van.

Investigation Ongoing

NYSP later confirmed that a 26-year-old male resident was found deceased in a transportation van owned by New Horizons Resources Inc. The van was parked at the facility at the time, police said.

Police didn't identify the male or provide any other details surrounding the tragic discovery, but did say that the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, in coordination with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
