Some are nicer than others, the user experience can vary in a big way from one to the next and they can conjure up a wide array of emotions. Today, I found what I thought was a nice one to remember. This came from a Tik Tok user that goes by @hnnnjpm.

By the time I saw it (3/9/23), it had over 50,000 views which is pretty good considering it was posted only a month ago. The lightning quick story is about a Brookfield girl who managed to complete her bucket list. Take a look.

I checked on this and it is a true story. Rebecca Townsend was from Brookfield and she did in fact, save her friend's life in the way the boy said. This is the story according to NBC CT:

Rebecca Townsend, 17, of Brookfield was hit by a car last week after watching fireworks in Danbury. Her final act was to push a friend, Ben Arne, from the path of the oncoming car, according to her father. Arne survived. Townsend didn't.

Now, it is unbelievably sad that a girl that young died but remembering people like Rebecca is extremely valuable to all of us. She is someone who put the safety of another, above her own. She literally gave up her life so another person could live. There is no higher act of morality or overall goodness in my opinion. So, no matter what the intent was with posting this video (probably fame), it's a good thing.

If I had to guess, I'd bet her family enjoyed seeing this as well. It serves as a reminder that Rebecca's memory lives on beyond their family and touched the lives of strangers. It certainly gave me goosebumps.

Top 6 Reasons For an Argument on CT's Candlewood Lake

Candlewood Lake is a glorious place to be on a Saturday or Sunday during the summer. You get to look at the rolling hills, soak in the sun and relax. If relaxing is not your jam you can do some water sports or just bug-out (my favorite). Candlewood Lake is popular for a reason it's a lot of fun. However, just like any place the vibe can be ruined by certain behaviors. Some might say, what is there to argue about? Here are 6 things I've seen people argue over on Candlewood Lake.
