Andrew Dice Clay is a true comedy legend—the first comedian to ever sell out arenas. He’s been in the business since he was a kid, starting out as a seriously talented drummer before becoming an actor, a social media force, and over the years, a great friend of the I-95 Morning Show. He’s set to take the stage at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Saturday, May 2nd.

Ahead of his big show in Westchester, we caught up with the Dice Man. Here’s our favorite moment from the conversation, when we started talking about his relationship with his partner—whom he affectionately calls “Sugar Plum.”

Dice: "It's a very weird thing to say to people, and I go, I met somebody at my age that actually cares, you know? Because when you do meet somebody, everyone is all excited and, oh, you know, I'm always going to have your back—until, you know, until you need them to have your back. Then they just want to stab you in the back, you know?"

Lou: Yeah, if you fall down, they step over your bloody corpse.

Dice: "Yeah, they just don't care. It's a bull—it's a bullcrap line. How do you like that for terrestrial? How do you like that—the words I'm coming up with here? I love you more than life itself. Yeah, until they find them with your best friend in your bed. Yeah, you're terrific. Yeah, there's nobody better than you, honey. Then she looks up and goes, yeah, but I cooked the chicken, it's in the fridge. Yeah, they're awful, you know? I make fun of all that now on stage, with the wives and cheating on them and, you know, just—you know, they always gave me a reason. You know, thank you! That's how I looked at it. And then, what you've got to think about—and I tell this to all my friends; they call me with their breakups. I have three failed marriages, and yet I'm the one that gets the call—and I'll always say the beauty of this marriage ending, and I'll say something like, by the way, I never liked her. I always just thought she was no good in her heart, so I make them feel good that way. And then they'll go, why? And I'll go, I can't get into it, but the beauty of the end of this is that there is going to be somebody brand new right under you before you know it. And I go, the minute you are buried—how do I do this?—in somebody's haystack, OK? I go, the other one goes out of your head. That's it, I wasn't around, I was (weird noises). You might want to watch that! You may want to think about doing something else tonight!"
