Hollywood Star Returns Home to Connecticut For Pizza
There was a familiar face at Frank Pepe's Pizza Restaurant in New Haven the other night. Guests got a little extra treat when award winning actor Paul Giamatti stopped by.
Best known for his movie roles in Sideways, Saving Private Ryan, Private Parts and Man on the Moon, the actor is no stranger to New Haven. Giamatti was born and raised in the Elm City. His father, A. Bartlett Giamatti, was a Yale University professor who later became president of the university and after that, Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
Giamatti now resides in Brooklyn Heights, but when the craving for some good pizza hits, he knows exactly where to go — the world famous Pepe's. This past round, he dined on their renowned white clam pizza and a pie with sausage and mushrooms.
So next time you're in Pepe's, keep your eyes open, because you never know who may be chowing down at the table next to you.
