According to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, their Engine 4 was called in with a crew of five firefighters as part of a rapid intervention assignment after a structure fire on Brittania Drive in Danbury was elevated to a third alarm just after 8:30 AM on Wednesday (December 30).

As of this writing, the Brookfield crew reports that they have been cleared from the scene and are currently covering assignment at Danbury Station 24 Commerce Park, while that company remains on the scene of the Brittania Drive blaze, which is located within the Sterling Woods Condominium Community on Nabby Road.

Additionally, the Stony Hill Volunteer Company out of Bethel is standing by at the Danbury Fire Department's headquarters to cover assignment over there.

Fox 61 reports that one person was taken to hospital as the result of injuries they sustained in during the situation, but further details regarding that injury have not yet been made available.
