The calendar may only say October, but you know this is the time of year that the weather can take a cold turn at anytime.

Now, before you go run out for your milk and bread, this is not going to be the "storm of the century", it'll just be a little appetizer, and reminder of what's to come in the next few months.

So here's the forecast set up for the rest of the week, and you'll see why seeing some snow is a good possibility.

Thursday and Thursday night we're expecting rain, the remnants of Tropical Storm Zeta, bringing some heavy rain at times too, and temperatures will be dropping from the low 40's all the way down into the upper 20's by late Friday and Friday night.

You didn't have to study meteorology to realize that rain will change over to snow showers when temps drop below freezing, so therefore, that's why the National Weather Service has a chance for snow showers in the forecast for Friday.

According to Accuweather, a mix of rain and snow showers are expected for Friday. The forecast predicts a mix of snow and rain between 9 AM and 3 PM. The Weather Channel also has the same prediction of rain and snow showers, both forecasts have predicted 100 percent precipitation, and a chance of some snow showers.

So far this fall, we have had pretty mild temperatures basically staying in the mid to upper 50's to low 60's, but it's now time to get ready for a little taste of winter, even if the snow is light, it's going to get cold.
