Because there was so much controversy with the Presidential election, these days leading up to Friday's inauguration have been uneasy no matter who you voted for.

In some cases, things have been so extreme that it has actually led people to suspend their Facebook accounts, argue with their families and even end friendships.

No matter who you voted for, this Friday we will have a new president. I got to thinking, how do celebrities deal with this? When you think about it, because of the vast differences of opinions it can be career suicide to come out and politically support a candidate.

I met Garth Brooks and interviewed him at length twice last year. I found him to be a genuine, down-to-earth man. Here was this mega-country icon who spoke to me like we were old pals. What I just read on Foxnews.com gave me even more insight to the man he is. I wanted to share his quote with you and hope that we all follow these very wise words:

I'll tell you with this whole presidential thing: We got one going out. Pray for him and his family. And for the president going in, pray for him and his family to guide this nation. Let's stay together. Love, unity, that's what it's all about. We can't thank the Obamas enough for serving this country and may God hold Trump's hand in the decisions that he makes in this country's name as well.

Rock on, Garth Brooks. Thanks for being who you are.
