They were there for you 25 years ago, will you be there for them when they show up on the big screen?

Friends is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time and it debuted back in the glorious 90s — 1994 to be exact. 25 years ago.

In celebration of the Friends silver anniversary, a select amount of movie theaters across the US will be showing classic episodes, along with specially created content, over three nights at the end of September/beginning of October. It's called Friends 25th, The One With The Anniversary and tickets just went on sale.

Around here, the events are happening on three nights at a couple of local theaters; AMC Danbury 16 and Regal Brass Mill in Waterbury, on Monday, September 23, Saturday, September 28, and Wednesday, October 2. Four classic episodes of Friends will be shown each night:

September 23, 2019: 

  • "Pilot – ReDo,"
  • "The One With The Black Out"
  • "The One With The Birth"
  • "The One Where Ross Finds Out"

September 28, 2019:

  • "The One With The Prom Video"
  • "The One Where No One’s Ready"
  • "The One With The Morning After"
  • "The One With The Embryos"

October 2, 2019:

  • "The One With Chandler In A Box"
  • "The One With Ross’s Wedding – Part 2"
  • "The One Where Everyone Finds Out
  • "The One Where Ross Got High"

So there you have it -- grab your "Smelly Cat" t-shirts and get ready to say "How you doin'" to all the hot 40 & 50 year olds as they walk by your recliner.
