Aspiring young baseball players can hone their craft with the help of some former major league players this Saturday at New Milford High School.

Family and Children's Aid has partnered with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association for a series of "Legends for Youth" baseball clinics. The New Milford stop is this Saturday morning (June 8.) Registration is at 8:30 AM with the clinic running from 9 to noon.

Players expected to attend include Danbury's own Joe Lahoud, an Abbott Tech graduate who played 11 seasons in the major leagues including seasons with the Red Sox, Brewers, Angels, Rangers and Royals. Also on the roster for Saturday's clinic are pitcher Rob Bell (Reds/ Orioles,) Fred Cambria (Pirates,) John Doherty (Tigers/ Red Sox,) Oreste Marrero (Dodgers/ Expos,) and Matt Merullo (White Sox/ Indians/ Twins.)

Admission is free but pre-registration is recommended. There will be an autograph session and baseball giveaways for all children in attendance. Family and Children's Aid will also be hosting clinics in Danbury at Rogers Park on June 29 and Waterbury at Municipal Stadium on July 20.
