Stephen Hoffenberg a debt collector, who funded the NY Post for a short time, and was a one-time boss of Jeffrey Epstein was allegedly found dead at his home in Derby, CT. According to a NY Post article, authorities were called to the home after a wellness check was asked for and found the body.

The body was found badly decomposed and a formal identification was pending at the time of publication, but authorities were pretty sure it was him.

“Every indication is that it is Mr. Hoffenberg,” a Derby Police Department spokesman said. “There’s nothing to suggest that it isn’t. We believe it’s him. We’re just waiting for dental records.”

Hoffenberg spent 18 years in prison and was fined $1 Million with $463 Million in restitution after pleading guilty in 1995 to running a half-billion dollar Ponzi scheme. So, Hoffenbeg spent all those years behind bars while his "partner" Epstein allegedly was having a very notoriously good time with teenage girls on a private island paid for by Epstein and his mysterious millions.

There is a theory that alleges Epstein's unexplained fortune came from funds he siphoned from the enormous Hoffenberg/Towers Financial Corporation Ponzi scheme. That theory is one that Towers investors took with them to court back in a lawsuit against Epstein in August of 2018. Hoffenberg was also the head of the NY Post for a short time in 1993 and was a former Trump Tower resident, he backed Trump early on with the 2016 campaign but withdrew support.

In a Quartz interview, Hoffenberg said he became a "born again Christian" during his time in prison. Good for him. The whole "Epstein Island" crew is dropping like flies, looks like Ghislaine Maxwell may be the only key left to the whole thing. Time is ticking. Steven Hoffenberg was 77 years old.
