A growing trend is developing worldwide where groups of people are prepared to become infected with COVID-19 deliberately. According to an article on the WFSB website, the group named 1 Day Sooner has signed up thousands of individuals willing to take an experimental vaccine and then take on the coronavirus in a controlled setting.

You should be aware that the 'COVID-19 Challenge' is a relatively new concept that has not yet been implemented in the United States, just yet. When you navigate to '1 Day Sooner's' website, which is currently only available in the U.K, you will be asked if you want to support the COVID-19 challenge as an advocate or volunteer for the challenge trial.

On Monday, October 12, there were 37,594,267 cases worldwide and 1,077,836 global deaths, translating to 2.8 percent dying from the virus. In the United States, 7,997,549, including 219,775 deaths, translates to 4.28 percent who are dying from the coronavirus.

As of August 24, 2020, according to a study from the Centers for Disease Control, it's estimated between 20 to 45 percent who get COVID-19 do not develop any symptoms. If you decide not to wear a mask and expose yourself to the coronavirus, you may be just fine, OR you may end up in the hospital on a ventilator and in a coma. It's a crapshoot. Are you willing to take that chance?

Currently, I am not aware of the 'COVID-19 Challenge' being offered anywhere in the states, although discussions are in the works. Check out the website, the-scientist.com, for updates on this COVID procedure.
