I think we all have a story to share...LOL!

With things getting back to some sort of normal, most of us have all fallen back into the rushing around ways that we enjoyed not having a year ago. Think about last year around this time, almost all of us had lots of time on our hands because everything was pretty much shutdown due to the pandemic.

Fast forward to today and we are all running around like chickens with their heads cut off!! If you have kids it's even worse, because they always seem to want to do something and that something in my life usually involves having to bring them and their friends somewhere..LOL!

I know I'm not alone in having hurt myself many times rushing to get out the door. I know that I've fallen down many a staircases in my day and have a ton of bruises and scars to prove it. One memory I have from early in life, was back when I was like 10 or 11 years old and my mom was taking me to play a little league game in Long Island.

Like most times, we were running late so when we pulled in the parking lot, my mom told me to get out of the car and run over to my team, while she went to park the car. I grabbed my baseball glove, my bat and water bottle, I opened the door and as I got out and went to shut the car door, I wound up slamming my hand and fingers in the door. OMG it was so painful!!! I hurt it so bad that I couldn't even play in the game!! To this day I get super nervous when it comes to shutting car doors because I never want to experience pain like that again!

We got a bunch of text messages from fellow "rushers" including Mara ho said, "I was rushing for work because I was going to be late and wore heeled boots and I was like a baby giraffe going down the stairs and twisted my ankle so bad I had to crawl back up the stairs and change shoes. I was late anyways!!"

Amy from Kingston texted, "Yes. Fell flat on my face on a sidewalk rushing in front of a jiffy lube. Literally smacked my face!!"

Rich from Newburgh texted, "I choked on dinner. My friends were waiting for me outside so we can go to the movies. My mother said I had to have dinner before I went. I was rushing and started to choke. Her friend, who is a nurse was there and started the Heimlich maneuver. Our neighbors heard the commotion and came out and helped. It worked, but I ended up in the ER and never made it to the movies. Lol"
