He's back, hopefully for the last time. Our featured pet this week is Elmer, and he has been our pet of the week before, but believe it or not Elmer is still looking for his first forever home.

So this week we're on a mission to get Elmer a home. He's almost four years old, and has spent over three of those years at the Animal Welfare Society waiting for someone to come along and take him home.

Here's all you need to know about Elmer.

Elmer is a Target dog look alike, and is almost 4 years old. Yes Elmer is a Pit Bull, and I know when most people hear the words "Pit Bull", the first thing they think of is often "vicious" or "aggressive" — that's because they've never met Elmer.

He is an active dog who hasn't had much training, but would be great in a home where he can be part of the family. He gets along great with people — so much for that Pit Bull stigma — he may not always see eye-to-eye with cats or some other dogs. One of Elmer's favorite things to do is cuddle, and he would love to do that in his new forever home.
