No one could stop the Dover Dragons, as they held off a strong challenge from the Carmel Rams to three-peat as Regional Mascot Madness Champions.

It was one for the ages. The Dover Dragons have done it again, and have won their third Mascot Madness Championship — can you say "dynasty?"

The Dragons dominated during the Mascot Madness New York voting round, then went wire to wire, holding off an aggressive challenge by the Carmel Rams in this year's Final 4. The Dover Dragons have done it again, and are the 2018 Regional Mascot Madness Champions.

The win for Dover marks an unprecedented three-peat, and another giant pep rally at Dover High School. At the pep rally, the Dragons will be presented with the 2018 Regional Mascot Madness Trophy courtesy of Crown Trophies of Brookfield.

Over 75 thousand votes were cast during the final four battle, including votes from thirteen countries from around the world. The Dragons got an early quick start and never fell out of first place for the entire week.

Here are the final results and standings:

  1. Dover Dragons                  51,360
  2. Carmel Rams                     19,235
  3. New Fairfield Rebels           1,564
  4. New Milford Green Wave       919

Congratulations to all finalists on a great competition, and watch and listen for details about the Championship Pep Rally coming soon to Dover High School.
