I write about a lot of bad people that do bad things as part of my job, one thing that really makes me sick to my stomach is the abuse or mistreatment of animals.

Every day lately it seems that another human being has sunk to even greater depths in their crime here in Connecticut. The news that's breaking this morning in Danbury is exactly what I'm talking about. According to the Danbury Police Department, Danbury Officers responded to a complaint of a burglary at a residence in the area of Mill Ridge Road last Thursday, March 25, 2021. During the burglary, a 1 year old American Bully, Godiva, was stolen during the incident.

This absolutely infuriates me, I've been a dog owner for most of my life and I cannot imagine that someone would be heartless enough to steal my dog. My heart goes out to Godiva's family, I'm so sorry.

The American Bully is a relatively new breed, it's only been around since the 1980's. The American Bully is derived from the Staffordshire Terrier, American Bulldog, English Bulldog, and Olde English Bulldog. Bully's typically weigh between 66 and 88 pounds and they are known as a loving companion that can easily spend all day in your lap.

If you have any information about the residential burglary or the whereabouts of Godiva, please call Detective Kupchok of the Danbury PD at 203-797-2168, or the anonymous tip line at 203-790-8477. Thank you.
