You won't find fried chicken, cheeseburgers, or fries on the Botanika Café menu. This new restaurant in Ridgefield recently opened at 424 Main Street and is the area's new plant-based eatery.

Some may call the Botanika Cafe a health food restaurant or a high vibe eatery. According to starseedkitchen.com, high vibration foods are those full of life force energy. It combines the source and quality of your food connected with intention when preparing a meal. This includes organic vegetables, local fruit, whole heirloom grains, or quality sourced poultry and fish.

Over the last three years, I've had to cut way down on fatty, high cholesterol food like fried chicken, juicy steaks, and pizza because my stomach can't handle the fat content anymore. Every once in a while, I'll devote two or three days and do my best to eat plant-based nutritious foods.

I've honestly experienced the energy lift when I try to eat healthily. Still, I can't muster up the self-discipline to eat healthy regularly even though I know how much better I'm going to feel throughout the day.

The Botanika Cafe offers plant-based, organic, and gluten-free items, and almost 100 percent of the eatery's menu items are homemade using wholesome ingredients. Owner Selena Snezhkina told the Ridgefield Press, "I love two things, helping people live better lives and delicious food."

Some of her menu items are Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Hawaiian BBQ Jackfruit Pizza & Pineapple, a Green Light Protein Bowl that features banana, mango, spinach, kale, spirulina, almond butter, and fresh goat milk. I'm sure you get the idea. For the entire Botanika Cafe menu, click this link.
