Danbury Set to Be Home to the Country’s Biggest ‘Airbag Park’
The biggest "airbag park" in the country is set to open in Danbury.
The new adventure park is called Thrillz High Flying Adventure Park. According to owners Rob and Lisa Cannon, the vision for Thrillz began when he saw an outdoor attraction where skiers jumped into an airbag. Check it out:
The entire concept is based on an un-tethered adventure, where users are not harnessed, but are kept safe by landing on giant stunt airbags. The owner, Robb Cannon, told the NewsTimes:
It will be the biggest airbag park in the world. This doesn't exist anywhere else.
The Cannons also own the Bounce franchise, which is located next to Thrillz in the same building. The ultimate goal, say the Cannons, is to build the ultimate "entertainment destination."
Laser Tag was recently added to the Bounce section of the park, which is 45,000 square feet. The Cannons were quick to add that adults will love Thrillz just as much as the kids. The Cannons also told the NewsTimes that eventually, the goal is to franchise the Thrillz model:
Everything here is thrilling. No matter what you're doing it's thrilling. We think out of the box here. We're a thinking tank of creativity and execution.
You'll find Bounce and the soon to be opened Thrillz on Prindle Lane off Mill Plain Rd. exit 2 off I-84.
