From one end of Danbury to the other, city residents came out in full force Saturday night (April 18) to make some noise.

In a show of total solidarity for our health care workers and all essential personnel, the City of Danbury took to their porches, backyards, and cars on Saturday night and did something that made you proud to be a part of the community. It was described as "Make Some Noise" Danbury, and from 7:00 to 7:05, you could hear the noise loud and clear.

Now going in, I have to say, I didn't really know what to expect when seven o'clock hit. Many times when you try to get a large group to do something like this, some participate, but a good majority of people don't.

Well I have to say it was amazing. As the clock hit 7 PM, all of a sudden you could hear people all over ringing bells, sounding their car horns, even shooting off fireworks. I really have to say I have never seen or heard anything like it. Everyone all in unison, and all using it as a way to say a big thank you to all those on the front lines healing and trying to keep us protected. It was definitely the sound of appreciation.

It gave me goosebumps, and brought a tear to my eye to think that everyone was acting together, all at once, in one of the most challenging times we've ever faced.

No matter where you went around the city, there were people out there, showing everyone, not just those essential workers, but everyone that we are all in this together.

You can watch the official Danbury Video HERE.

So keep making noise, Danbury, this way we never let our health care workers, and essential personnel forget how much we care.
