Danbury Police Set to Discuss Locally Emerging Drug Trends
With ever-changing and evolving trends when it comes to drug use among our society's youth, it's always best for parents to have their finger on the pulse of what's going on. The Danbury Police Department is doing their part in making sure we're all educated and informed.
Members of the department will be hosting a presentation that will cover the emerging drug trends as they pertain to our local youth on Wednesday, March 20, at 6:30 PM in the DPD's community room, which is located inside the police building at 375 Main St.
Aside from parents, teachers, school administrators, guidance counselors and other school faculty are all invited to attend the event.
Topics that will be covered include a variety of things that are considered particularly alarming to our community, like the health effects of vaping, synthetic drugs that may be available to children, the popularity of drugs from the past and present, and the current trends involving youth consumption of alcohol.
The presentation is sposored by the Stand Together Make a Difference organization, and the Danbury Police Department says that a Spanish translator will be available.
