People are hoping for a chance to grab a picture of this wonderful creature and everyone in the media is busy Facebook messaging witnesses for a unique angle. The moose has been spotted in Danbury, Newtown, New Fairfield in CT, and now Pawling, NY, just to name a few.

The moose really gripped the attention of the public when it ran across a Danbury parking lot on Monday (9/26/22). It was seen trotting in front of a car by the Danbury AMC Lowes movie theater.

Since then, it's been mayhem, with sightings reported everywhere. The most recent coming from Pawling, NY, a man named Randy Jones. Randy shared the photo below with  a Facebook group called "The Hudson Valley in Pictures", not to be confused with "The Hudson Valley in Photos."

I reached out to Randy for comment to find out more about the sighting, he told me the following: "Hi Lou - No real exciting backstory here. The picture was taken by my neighbor who wants to stay anonymous. She just happened to be driving back from New Milford yesterday and saw the moose up on the ridge, so she stopped & took the picture." He told us while the neighbor wants to remain anonymous, they're not that tech savvy and they were "thrilled" that he was able to share the photo for them. The picture was taken in the Quaker Hill Road area of Pawling.

This moose is amazing. It's so smart, that it's emulating the behavior of humans. It went to the movies and now it's doing a fall photoshoot at sunset, just like us. He also went for a walk in beautiful Newtown, CT.

Am I wrong? We've all done a fall photoshoot standing next to a pumpkin in Pawling. We go to Danbury to watch movies, and we all hunt for dream homes in Newtown that we can't afford. This moose is just like a fun person.

However, the New Fairfield thing I can't explain, unless he's going to see Mark at the Goodie Shoppe. I've been told the moose is looking for a mate, moving East to West and experts are asking people to keep your distance. Keeping our distance is going to get harder and harder to do, as this story grows. Plus, it's tough to keep your distance when the moose shows up outside Best Buy. I think we all can agree that we want to be part of something. This moose is making us feel like we are part of a larger discussion. You're nowhere right now if you don't have a friend, who has a friend, who has seen the moose. This is a still of the Danbury video below.

I also spoke to Jen "The Zookeeper." That is not just a clever name, Jen is an animal expert for many years and an I-95 Morning Show listener who reaches out to us anytime we have animal questions.

When Jen heard us talking about the moose, she contacted me and said: “These highways for animals are called wildlife corridors. Tracks of land that help them to get from one part of their territory to the other, whether for mating or migration. They’ve been following the same paths for generations, only to be interrupted by human encroachment and habitat destruction. That’s why we’re seeing them more often.” AND GUESS WHAT!? Another sighting just reported to us in Danbury, that is supposed to have taken place prior to the first sighting at the movie theater.

Amen for this moose. We needed something to keep us going.

The Ethan and Lou 15 Year Anniversary Party Got Ultra Wild

It was the party to end all parties, the Ethan and Lou 15 Year Anniversary party at the Golden Leaf in Brookfield, CT. The idea was simple, go somewhere with no frills, gather with friends of the show, and look back at a decade and a half of the Ethan and Lou Morning Show. A lot of people showed up and we had a wonderful time, maybe too much fun.
