It was certainly a bad weekend for two people who were brought to the Emergency Room after the car that they were traveling in became engulfed in flames and exploded.

According to a social media post from the Danbury Fire Department, around 3:40 AM on Saturday morning, there was a serious accident at 167 Long Ridge Road in Danbury, CT. At that time, the DFD rushed to reports of a car rollover involving just one car. When they arrived, they found a car completely engulfed in flames, which eventually exploded.

The pictures on the Danbury Fire Department Facebook page (posted below) show a horrific and very scary scene. The two occupants of the car were found at the scene and had suffered severe burns. They were taken to the Western Connecticut Health Network emergency room where they were treated. There are no further reports as to the extent of their injuries and the names of those who were injured have not yet been released.
