Progressive Minded Danbury Business Owner Nominated for Entrepreneur Award
Yet another Danbury business is being recognized for its contribution to the community, and for helping area artisans display and sell their creations.
Workspace Collective is a finalist in the "Space" category for the CT Entrepreneur Awards. The CT Entrepreneur Awards' mantra is that they "identify, recognize and celebrate Connecticut’s leading entrepreneurs, and their ventures."
Workspace Collective is the brain child of Meagan Cann, who grew up in Danbury. The shop, which celebrated its Grand Opening in September, features items from local designers whose creations are meant to bring designer and customer together for a very unique shopping experience.
The shop also features workshops, fashion shows, and tons of community involvement. The store is set up so that a customers typical shopping experience can build a bridge between them and designer.
Now, the shop finds itself as one of the finalist in the CT Entrepreneur Awards. Meagan Cann called the honor "very exciting and validating." She also said that "The exposure is building traction not only for our customer base, but for the designers as well".
The awards will be handed out on Monday April 24th in Branford, Connecticut.
Workspace Collective is located at 287 Main Street in Danbury, and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am until 6 pm.
