Connecticut Woman Carries Sister’s ‘Rainbow Baby’ as Surrogate
Hartford Hospital was the setting for the birth of a very special little girl. WTNH.com reports that Charlotte Grace Guadino, weighing in at a healthy 6 pounds 7 ounces, was born through a very strong bond between two sisters.
Her parents, Elizabeth and Justin Guadino, have been through so much trying to have a family. After many failed attempts at in-vitro fertilization and the devastating loss of twins, their hearts were beyond broken. But Elizabeth's sister, Anna Howat, with the blessing of her husband Andrew, told her sister that she would carry her baby to term. Elizabeth's eggs were implanted in Anna's womb seven months after Anna gave birth to her own daughter. Now, they all have a new life to celebrate.
The two couples are not only close in their hearts, they also live right next door to each other, which means that not only does Charlotte Grace have a very special auntie and uncle, but she will most likely have a strong bond to her cousin.
