CT Voting Process Thwarted By Wet Ballots
UPDATE: The official results are in and Connecticut has a new Governor, as Bob Stefanowski has conceded to Ned Lamont. Lamont has issued the following statement about Stefanowski's concession:
Earlier this morning, I received a call from Bob Stefanowski. After a long campaign, he could not have been more gracious, and I could not be more appreciative. I look forward to working with him, because we all need to come together – regardless of party – to solve our state’s biggest challenges. I’m humbled and I want every resident to know how grateful I am for this extraordinary honor. I will work every day – honestly and thoughtfully – to move this state forward and be a champion for Connecticut.
Original: Results are still not in as to who the Governor of Connecticut will be and a contributing factor was the rain. According to the NY Post, thousands of wet ballots have been/need to be counted by hand instead of run through a machine.
Who will be Governor? Bob Stefanowski? Ned Lamont? I don't know yet, but I can tell you, I hate my headline for this blog and I can do better. Let's give it a try:
- "Our polls are so wet, CT results halted by rain."
- "Connecticut voting jacked up by never ending rain."
- "H2-O-S---! CT Gov. Results delayed by rain"
Do you have a better headline? I want to hear it. I also wanna know how we can't get this right in 2018. My phone knows what my face looks like even if I disguise myself, and we can't get this right?
I hate to sound like an old man, but we can put a man on the moon........DOT, DOT, DOT.
