CT Steam Train and Riverboat, a Summer Staycation Destination

We're always keeping an eye out for cool  fun stuff to do in Connecticut, and we've found another local staycation special! It's a far cry for the crowded mayhem of Metro North commuting, and the sounds of the Southeast rail station. The Essex Steam Train and Riverboat is a short trip to another great Connecticut outing. You can take the Essex Steam Train and boat in the same day or just take a train ride kicking back and relaxing on an old time train excursion, or do a romantic dinner date on a restored 1920's Pullman Car.

The Essex Steam Train and Riverboat company has everything from music cruises, to beer cruises, to nature viewing rides and more. The one that I really want to catch is the chocolate and wine cruise. According to their website this rail company "has been in existance in one form or the other since 1868".
