Connecticut’s Newest Concert Venue Reveals First Summer Shows

The 20-year home for the Bridgeport Blue Fish is being transformed into CT's newest concert venue.

The Steve Miller Band will kick-off the Harbor Yard Amphitheater's first summer of concerts on Saturday, August 14 followed by the Deftones on Monday, August 24.

According to harboryardamp.com, the amphitheater nicknamed 'The Amp' will host up to 20 concerts from spring through the fall along with festivals, family fun, and charity events.

For 20 years The Ballpark at Harbor Yard was the home field for the Bridgeport Bluefish. At the end of the 2017 season, Bridgeport Mayor, Joe Ganim made the decision not to renew the team's lease and instead made a deal with the developer and concert promoter Live Nation to turn the property into a live concert facility according to an article in the Bridgeport Patch from August of 2017.
