Connecticut Mom Paralyzed By Falling Tree During Snowstorm
A GoFundMe page has been set up for a mother of three that was hit by a falling tree during the March 7th Nor'easter.
During the storm, an overhead tree snapped and and fell on Victoria Gouletas at her home in Westport, hitting her head and back. She was left with fractures in her neck, scapula and sternum and a broken spine resulting in paralysis from her chest down. Doctors say that her current prognosis is that she will never walk again.
With three young children and a real estate law career, the road ahead is certainly a long and winding one. She faces many months of rehabilitation to learn her "new normal". House and vehicle renovations, nursing, child care, housekeeping...the costs involved to reinvent the family's life are astronomical.
If you would like to help Victoria and her husband, Troy Burke and their three children, Ana (10), Tafe (9) and Zoe (2) click here to be connected with the GoFundMe Page that has been set up for her.
