Law enforcement in Florida called the killings, "evil" and "horrendous."

What could possibly possess a man to allegedly wipe out his entire family along with the family dog, Breezy? A Colchester man, Anthony Todt has been arrested and accused of killing his wife, their three children, and the family dog in Celebration, Florida according to a report in the New Haven Register.

During a press conference, Osceola County Sheriff, Russ Gibson told reporters that Todt had confessed to the killings. When asked why he would do such a thing, Gibson's only reply was, "Anthony is cooperating with the investigation."

According to an article on the wfsb website, Todt owned two physical therapy practices in Colchester and was being investigated for alleged Medicaid and insurance fraud, and was reported having financial difficulties.

The Todt family moved to Celebration, Fla. around three years ago but Anthony Todt lived in Connecticut Monday through Friday, and then joined the family in
Florida on weekends.

Todt did not have a pleasant childhood. When Anthony was just a kid, his father was arrested for attempted murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison for hiring a hitman to kill his wife, Loretta, who was Anthony's mother.

Police officials are relatively sure, after interrogating Todt, that the killings didn't happen on Monday, Jan.13 but were carried out in late December. The deceased family members included Todt's wife, Megan, 13-year-old, Alek, 11-year-old, Tyler, and 4-year-old, Zoe, along with the family dog, Breezy.
