There are over 168 million women in the US, and those nearest and dearest to us are among the healthiest. A new study has just ranked Connecticut as the third best in all of the United States for women's health in 2025.

SmileHub.org has just released Best States for Women's Health 2025, where they've compared each of the 50 states based on three key dimensions and 18 metrics to arrive at their rankings. The three key dimensions are Health & Living Standards, Health Care Policies & Support Systems, and Safety Risk. Among the key metrics were Women's Life Expectancy at Birth, Female Uninsured Rate, Share of Physically Active Women, Heart Disease Mortality Rate for Women, Female Smoker Rate, Quality of Women's Hospitals, Abortion Policies & Access, Unaffordability of Doctor's Visit, Suicide and Depression Rates for Women, and Health & Wellness Charities per Total Number of Women.

Connecticut has done exceptionally well for 2025 according to SmileHub.org, we have the highest quality women's hospitals in all of the US and ranked #2 overall in the key metric of Safety rank. Connecticut has been ranked #13 overall in the key metric of Health Care Policies & Support Systems, and ranked #6 in the key dimension of Health & Living Standards. The two states that ranked higher overall than Connecticut for 2025 were #1 Massachusetts and #2 Hawaii.
