Benjamin Franklin is credited with the phrase 'Nothing is certain except death and taxes', and boy, don't we know that's true by living in Connecticut. My property had an assessed value of $134,000, and every April was an adventure trying to scrape up the amount due. I realize now that I had it good in 2018, some of my friends are now coughing up $10,000 a year after revaluation.
