Connecticut Got Talent, And Governor Lamont Wants to Meet You
Do you know what Jack Antonoff, Jahaan Sweet, and Rick Rubin do for a living? If you knew they were three of the top music producers, and you want to be just like them, the Governor of our state has invited you to a conference in New Haven this October.
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont knows that our state has talent, and he has announced that there will be an event in New Haven where local artists, producers, and musicians in the Connecticut music scene can showcase their talents. It's called READI Set...Music Conference, it's happening on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at NXTHVN, 169 Henry Street in New Haven.
The event is being hosted by the Connecticut of the Arts, and it's being billed as a celebration of Connecticut's vibrant music scene, with the intention of networking with music industry professionals, while providing a showcase for your talents.
"We've seen a rising interest in live music entertainment in Connecticut in recent years and we want to encourage the continued growth of our state's creative community, including through the development of career opportunities. I strongly encourage anyone interested in the music industry to attend this conference and connect with industry leaders who are changing the landscape of music."
We've all seen the highs and lows of trying to break into the music industry depicted in movies and tv. I imagine that putting in the work and honing your craft would be the automatic path to a lifetime career in the music industry, but I've also seen those special moments where a person in power hears something unique. Here's an opportunity.
