Police: Connecticut Bar Busted for Serving Alcohol to More than 100 Minors
More than 100 underage individuals were found drinking alcoholic beverages in a bar in Norwalk Connecticut last night. Most of the people consuming alcohol under 21 were college students. There were 103 in total drinking illegally, according to WFSB Hartford TV.
This discovery was made as Norwalk police officers and agents, along with the Connecticut Liquor Control Commission were executing a routine investigation on the Norwalk Bar, Johnny Utah’s, located on Washington Street in Norwalk.
There were so many people in violation at the bar that police had to call in additional patrols to assist. Among the 103 people consuming alcohol under 21, there were 93 Fairfield University students, many of whom were drunk and had no form of ID. Vehicles from the Fairfield University Public Safety Department arrived on the scene to help to shuttle the students back to campus.
Norwalk police are saying that this is an “ongoing" investigation and did not make any arrests last night.
