Connecticut Animal Control Seeks Public Help After a Dog Was Found Tied to Highway in Beacon Falls
I will never understand what is wrong with some people. How can anyone ever just leave an animal tied up somewhere? I feel like its becoming more common and it's absolutely sick to think about.
As I opened my computer this morning, I came across a post from the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control. Late last night, the Connecticut State Police were in contact with this animal control after receiving a call from someone driving on Route 8 Southbound in Beacon Falls by exit 25 that there was a dog tied up on the side of the highway.
First off, what? How are you just going to tie a dog to the side of a highway?! It makes me so, so angry. The poor pup was a young male shepherd with a prong collar on. The dog was not left with any food or water, either. The post (and photos) show that the dog is very underweight.
The Connecticut State Police and Woodbridge Regional Animal Control are now looking for anyone with any information on who the monster could be that tied this dog to the side of the highway. All information can be remained anonymous and the number you can report any information to is 203-389-5991.
I hope they are able to find whoever did this. They should pay for their actions and then some. If you can't handle your pet anymore, take them to a shelter and let them find a loving home. Don't leave them out to die.
These are the kinds of things that makes me question humanity. The animal control said the dog is currently not up for adoption as it is an ongoing investigation. When it is over, I hope the pup finds the loving home he deserves.
