An in-depth study by GamblingSites.com has determined that eight of the top ten luckiest states in the nation are in the eastern part of the United States! Gambling Sites collected data from different online sources to evaluate all 50 states and compare luck nationwide.

The luckiest states don't necessarily mean 'lucky' as it pertains to lottery and gambling winnings. The Gamblingsites website adjusted lottery wins to show the number of winners per 10 million people. They also crunched the numbers for each state regarding life expectancy, car accidents, natural disasters, and the crime index rates per 100,000 people. According to gamblingsites.com, the Top 10 LUCKIEST States are:
