The mindset in Danbury regarding this pandemic is "let's prepare, let's get ahead of it.' A mobile field hospital just went up, thanks to the National Guard, next to Danbury Hospital for triage in case the patient count becomes overwhelming.

This is the second such mobile hospital to spring up in Connecticut. The field hospitals are heated and serve as a multi-functional facility, but only when needed, according to the News Times.

According to ctinsider.com, Western Connecticut State University is preparing Fairfield Hall, a 108-bed residence hall. Southern CT State University has been asked to provide 80 beds and Central CT State is being prepared as an emergency shelter for health care professionals.
