Now that spring has finally sprung, it’s time to film a Christmas movie here in Connecticut.

Well, actually, any time is a good time to film a movie here, but according to the Stonington Patch, areas of Olde Mistick have Christmas and holiday decorations set up for a new movie featuring actress Melissa Joan Hart . It’s going to be called A Very Nutty Christmas. The production company making the movie, Hartbreak Films, is owned by Melissa Joan Hart and her mom, Paula Hart.

Fillming is happening today in the village and then the production moves to the Garde Arts Center and a home in Old Saybrook, the New London Day reports.

The premise of the movie is that the main character, Kate, has lost her love for Christmas following heartbreak, and is working tirelessly in her bakery for the holiday. She has a change of heart about Christmas when a magic nutcracker teaches her about the true beauty of Christmas. The film is expected to be released in November.
