Chris Christie Set to Hit Waterbury For Cigars and Cocktails

It's not often that you get a nationally known figure to come to Waterbury, and even tougher to get him to appear at a local restaurant. But we all know what can cause these mythical personalities to appear: politics.

I'm Facebook friends with CT State Representative Anthony D'Amelio, and I frequent his restaurant Verdi in Waterbury. Last night, Representative D'Amelio announced on his Facebook page that former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be attending 'An evening of Cigars, Cocktails, and Politics' at Verdi, 660 Park Road in Waterbury, on Thursday October 3, 2019 from 6-9PM.

It's not a free event, there are a couple of suggested price points, one being a minimum contribution of $140, and there is also a $1,000 minimum Federal PAC Contribution. Not only do you get to schmooze with Christy for $140, you'll also receive an autographed copy of his book 'Let Me Finish: Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face Politics'.
