Tragedy struck a Brookfield family and Southern Connecticut State University over the weekend.

Nbcconecticut.com has reported that 22-year-old Sean Gallo of Brookfield was found non-responsive in his car at the SCSU parking garage on Sunday morning at 11:00 am.

Sean was a Brookfield High School graduate and had just transferred to SCSU as a junior and history major after graduating from Naugatuck Valley Community College.

SCSU police could not find any indication of foul play. The specific cause of death is yet to be determined and SCSU is making professional counselors available for those in need.

This is a developing story and we'll be sure to update you as more information rolls in.

Sean's friends and family are in our hearts through this difficult time.
