Brookfield Police: Emergency Road Closure on Candlewood Lake Road Due to Fire

Local police have announced that an emergency situation has closed a section of Candlewood Lake Road late Saturday afternoon.

According to the Brookfield Police Department, both of the town's fire departments are on the scene, fighting to extinguish what's been described as a structure fire in the area of 160 Candlewood Lake Road.

As of this writing, the surrounding area of Candlewood Lake Road between Pleasant Rise and Woodview Drive is closed and police say it will remain closed for several hours due to the fire activity and pending investigation.

First responders asks that the public please avoid the area to let both the Candlewood Volunteer Fire  Company and the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company do their jobs as safely as possible.
