Brand New Connecticut Grocery Store Announces Opening Date
We've been anticipating this date for quite some time now.
We officially reported back in March of 2022 that a Wegmans was finally making its way to Connecticut. It has obviously been a long time coming since, but would you look at that, it looks like the end is near and we finally will be able to shop there soon.
If you've never been to Wegmans before, you don't understand the hype. That's fine, but you will once the store opens. Wegmans is such a unique grocery store. It has so many different things for you. There are multiple options for you to get if you're looking to grab-and-go as well. My friend and I were on a trip not too long ago and we stopped into a Wegmans. She was in awe at the selection they had to offer after never being in one before. I expect the same reaction from a lot of Connecticut residents who have never experienced one.

It's an exciting time for Connecticut. The sign is up and you can see it from the highway. Wegman's just announced this week that the Norwalk store will officially open on July 23 at 9 AM. The building is located at 675 Connecticut Ave and is 92,000 square feet and will employ approximately 500 people.
The hiring process for the new store is still going on with both part-time and full-time options available. The different job options range from customer service positions in merchandising, service, culinary, and perishable departments, to entry-level management roles. Their hiring website shows that paid training is ongoing currently and will be until about May 2025.
I can not wait for July. I will absolutely take a trip to Norwalk to go visit this brand new store. I already know it's going to be top of the line and I can't wait to see it. Does this mean I'm officially old when I get excited over a grocery store? It's the equivalent of getting excited over prime day deals for cleaning supplies rather than the hottest new gadget. Anyways, I'll see ya there.
