If you remember last year around this time in Bethel, it all started as a school project. The second Bethel LGBTQ+ Pride Parade Celebration has bloomed into an annual event which takes place this Sunday, May 6, 2018.

Just over a year ago, two Bethel Middle School students, Hailey Gesler and Marcella Antunes, were presented with a community project by their teacher and the celebration was born. After a lot of thought and planning, Bethel CT Pride drew more than 500 people. This year's event promises to be even grander and a truly family-friendly fun-filled day. Food trucks, live music, a Kids Korner, DJ, vendors, raffles and lots more will fill the Bethel Municipal Center Green this Sunday, May 6, 2018, from noon to 7:00pm.

Bethel CT Pride Celebration is the first LGBTQ+ event in Connecticut being held outside of a major city.
