A bear with a knack for breaking and entering had to be euthanized after it broke into a Connecticut home over the weekend.

NBC Connecticut reports that the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the EnCon Police put the bear down after it entered a home in Simsbury on Saturday morning.

According to WFSB, a Pine Glen Road resident returned home Saturday morning to find the bear in his house. Apparently it had broken a screen door to get into the house. No one else was home at the time.

The DEEP says this isn't the first time this bear has entered a home. From its ear tag, it was determined that the bear had entered "multiple" homes in the last year.

The town of Simsbury already holds the honor for the most bear sightings in 2018. Simsbury led the state with 618 sightings, according to an article on Patch.
