A massive fire destroyed one of the CT's most beautiful marinas on Sunday (11/27/22).

According to FOX News, the four-alarm fire tore through the Mystic, CT seaport marina, beginning at around 9 pm on Washington Street. Videos of the fire raging lit up social media. It took the work of several local fire departments to knock the blaze down as they battled southerly winds.

I've been following along with the story, just enough to know it was a very bad fire. Then today, I got several drone videos sent to me. They are proof positive of the ultimate power of fire. The video below was posted by "The Day" on Monday (11/28/22).

In a report published by The Day on Monday, residents say they witnessed

The orange glow of the flames from the fire could be seen for miles.

The same publication said Fire Chief Anthony Manfredi Jr. did not see anything that makes the fire look suspicious, but he referred to it as an active investigation at that time.

FOX 61, shared the video below which includes witness footage of the inferno.

CBS New York also reported on the blaze on Tuesday.

Mystic was the place to go when I was a kid. Let me rephrase, Mystic was the place they took us when we were kids. I think I went on three separate school field trips to Mystic. I had a hard time getting psyched about it then, but I've been back as an adult and I really enjoyed it. Between the history and the shopping, it's more "big people" fun.
